    The company is launching the complete point-of-sale service in conjunction with Myanmar Citizens Bank. The system accepts both MasterCard and Visa, Tech In Asia reported on Feb. 6.

    “The rollout in POS terminals by Myanmar Citizens Bank will benefit international visitors looking for convenient and secure payment channels when they arrive in Myanmar,” Antonio Carro, MasterCard’s country manager for Myanmar and Thailand, said in a statement.

    The announcement follows similar service launches from MasterCard and Visa, both of which released POS systems in Myanmar in 2013.
